My site has been up for about a month now and I have already received a few emails about my arch nemesis: “Phiction”… He’s a breakbeat DJ from West Virginia or some other southern state.  He’s got stuff up on Beat Port and its pretty damn cool.  I figured since we were so far apart that we would never have a problem with a name mixup or misinterpreted showings on flyers.  Thanks to the interbutts people in Tokyo can google Phiction and think we are the same person.  I don’t know who came first or who will stick around longer, but I know that I like my name and would like to keep it.  Maybe we could mess with the spelling even more, like Ph1ction or Phicti0n.  If I were to spin breaks the name would have to go but luckily for me and my fans (friends) that might be the only type of music I don’t spin.  Let’s see… House (check) Techno (check) DnB (check) Hardstyle (check) Trance (not at all).  Looks about right, ha!  

Tonight is a great night! The official opening of dj-phiction.com and for the next week I will be constantly be getting updated with pictures and downloads. Im currently looking for some talented individuals who dj for my future “pick of the week” mix section, along with that I would like to extend a thank you to PhotoTsumi for his amazing photo work, ClarityMedia for setting up this beautiful website, and of course anyone who reads this. Because lets face it, if you know about my site this early in the game you are one of my true friends. At this point I don’t know exactly what you would like on this site so feel free to email me with some comments.
